Morning all. Has anyone used this company? I would love to have a stand from them but I'm confused how to go about ordering it. Can anyone that has used them explain how it went for them?
Thanks.

+1 on doing a search on this site for 80/20 stands. Not trying to be cute about it, but there really is a lot of useful info about how best to design a stand, etc. What size tank are you going to support? I ask because this stuff gets expensive fast, and for larger tanks you will need heavier extrusions, and more parts. I've only built support structures for my lights out of this stuff, and have easily spent way more money than I thought it would take. I like the look in certain applications though, so it was worth the cost - to me.

As far as ordering goes, it is pretty straightforward. The hard part is in designing a stand that will be safe, making sure to include all of the connectors, braces, etc you need. That's where looking through other threads will come in handy. Once you have a design and an idea of the parts you need, look for better prices on ebay (8020 has a discount store on ebay). You may be able to buy a lot of what you need in discounted bundles. You'll also find knock-off 8020 stuff on ebay, at least for hardware, and I have also used that without a problem.

Hope that helps, knew nothing before search, not an engineer just motivated, great producy, last forever, can be modifird to accomodate future tank, not cheap

It will get expensive rather quickly. The parts for my radions was almost $200. Shipping isn’t cheap either, as mine came in 3 different boxes.
Have a basic idea of how you want to build and then speak to someone to help finalize your order list. Mine was a rather easy build and took 2 weeks to get cut and machined plus 1 week for shipping. Easily overkill for 4# lights, but super sleek and no wires from ceiling and a clever way to conceal power cords.

Beautiful stand and like the way you trimmed it out. I’m sure it was expensive but worth the price

It was fun to build, actally thought about modifying into a 5 ft stand but decided against it but with 8020 can increase dimension for a few hundred $. I would build another

www.kremco.net is a great option of aluminum t slot framing. I have built one tank stand for a small 15 gallon tank, will be building another larger tank here real soon. Included pictures of a presser station and a pergola in a AZ backyard. Let me know if anybody has questions.
