Is this safe for Reef Systems? Lots of conflicting information out there? Did you have any issues with it? Is the benefits noticeable?

I agree that UV sterilizers are a much debated topic. I had no adverse effects from the UV, although it likely had some effect on my pod population. In my case, my mandarin, copperband, and coris wrasse likely reduced the pod population more than the UV. I did see noticeable benefits in reduction of free-floating algae which contained the algae growth in my tank, and it also knocked back a bacteria bloom in short order. I understand that UV is also effective on dinos but knock on wood, I've never had a dino problem or a parasite problem for that matter. I quarantine and treat all my fish before they are put in the display tank.

If I were able to properly plumb this UV into my system, I would not have put it up for sale. Unfortunately, to get optimal effectiveness from the UV, I would have to plumb it into the crawlspace in my home. My tank is on the ground floor and my sump and return pump are in the basement.

If I don't get any local interest I'll check into the cost to pack and ship.
