Anyone have good ideas on how to mount a 8020 DYI light stand to wall studs???

I have seen attachments for the back of the aquarium stand but I would like to mount mine to the wall. Unfortunately my display is a bit off centered from the studs so I'll need to compensate for that. I have the basic fixture designed using 1.5" 8020. However, I just can't find a good way to attach to the wall. The only option I have really come across is using a drill press and drilling a few holes into the aluminum. From there I would use some lag bolts and washers. Sorry for the poor drawing but below is a quick sketch. Looking to mount the Aquatic Hybrid with Radion 2 XR30s and one XR15.

Parts list below. Still thinking about two shorter 8" pieces (one on each hanger) versus one large ($30 cheaper).

Thanks!

I'm interested to know too. I'm planning on 8020 for a similar set-up. However, I'm also interested in adding some sort of lever to raise the lights during maintenance. Please post pic after ur done with the set-up once you get your answers.

I'm short on time right now but have you considered mounting unistrut to the wall and then mounting the 80/20 fixture to the unistrut? Using this method, you could also paint the unistrut the same color as your wall.

Not sure if this would work but it's the first thing that popped into my head and, if you knew me, you'd know this can be something scary! ;)

Thanks for the reply. Will keep that in mind. If possible trying get a clean uniform look as the wife has to stare at this in our main living room (with the TV). Was going to go with just Radions and arm mounts so even this 8020 is pushing the “clean” installation I promised :)

A winch/lever type lift is way past my capabilities. What about using a few of these dynamic pivot points just to be able to raise and move back a bit for maintenance? Won't get as much lift you pull the lights straight up but it would go up call it 6-8" and back 6-8".
