80w UV on 75 gallon tank

I am planning to get a Pentair 80w uv sterilizer for my 75 gallon tank, with the intent to control both algea / bacteria and parasites at the same time with a flow rate of 450gph. Based on the manufacturer specs this flow rate should produce high enough exposure to kill parasites and also be fast enough turnover to sterilize fast reproducing organisms in the water column. Am I correct in this approach?
