Hi. So I have an 8x2x2 tank with the following residents:
5” Annularis Angel
5” Magnificent Foxface
4” Mustard Tang
4” Purple Tang
3” HYT
3” PBT
3” Regal/Blue Tang
Pair of false percs

I’m thinking of adding a few dwarf angels (flame, potters, multicolor) and some more large angels, but can’t decide between the following:
Chryurus
French
Scribbled
Queen/Townsend
Asfur

I really want a Chrysurus (if my budget permits) and Scribbled. Not sure if I can get a French with my setup since it grows to a giant round plate. Asfur is a relatively slow grower, and Queen is quite aggressive (although I believe any of the fish, except possibly the French, would bother to “dethrone” it). Any suggestions? Appreciate your inputs!

The annularis won't tolerate the french. One or 2 of the other species should be ok. Having more than 3 lg angels starts to get 'iffy'.

If that’s the case, then the Annularis won’t tolerate the Chrysurus or the Asfur as well given that the 3 of them belong to the same family. Am I right?

While they belong to the same family, the body shape of the annularis and french are closer than the chrysurus and asfur.

Chrysurus juveniles are about $150 and would probably get along better with your other angel. The French I would think body wise would get too tall for a 2' tall tank.

Hmm I see, well then I guess I’d just pick the Chrysurus and probably the Scribbled.

Yeah, I was more concerned of its height than its length, but they are very beautiful fish! Probably get one when I get a 500gal tank.

If just for some reason I chose the queen over the scribbled, should I introduce a juvenline or semiadult/adult chrysurus before the juvenile queen?
