90’ kessil control and link cable

all, i’m doing some fine tuning on my tank setup. My canopy hides my kessils well but you can see the vdm control cable and aux cable i have linking them. As far as I know, it just uses a standard 1/8” male stereo connection. Would this 90’ adapter work? If not, could I clip off the stereo end and wire in a 90’ end without messing up the signal?

Edit: realized the original cord i posted was 1/4” not 1/8”.

Honestly, I have no idea if it would work, but I don't have any reason to think it would with a 1/4" 90 degree adapter. I feel it is more likely to work than not. The manufacturers tend to use as many off the shelf parts as possible.
