Hello

Last week I decided to have a new Tank :) : a 90 gal Frags tank.
I will share my experience of this journey. All comments are welcome :)

I check different size and decided to have a 72*24*12 acrylic Tank.

As I like to build stuff and wanted to have custom tank and stand, I decided to start this new build.

Some pic from last week of my new stand build:

Will try to finish it this week, and I will start the tank as I just receive all the acrylic for the tank.

Hum bad storm here in Delaware... Good day for the build.

I received a lot of equipment today.
I prepared all acrylic panels with edge scraper.
With (Up) and without (Down) the edge scrapper

And prepare the holes for return and overflow.

I'm waiting for the hole saw to start to drill the acrylic it should arrive tomorrow.

Today some progress:
Drill 2 holes for overflow, and 2 others for the return and weld on the acrylic panel together.

It looks like a real tank now :)

Will wait 2 days before water test and plumbing: overflow, return. fuge and sump.

Coming along nicely! :)

Great job! I wish I had the confidence to build my own tank like this. The wife would kill me if it came apart, lol

Thanks.
3 tanks in the house, my wife almost kill me for this one lol

Wow that looks great. Amazing DIY skills.
System was up and running all the afternoon, no leaks, this tank looks promising!

LED attached to the ceiling, and I replaced tap water that I used to test the system by salt water.
Waiting for the ATO, and small equipment and the system should be good to go!
