So I realized that I never made a tank thread on here. I have a 90 gallon reef, 45 gallon Xenia forest, and pretty bare 16 gallon Nuvo with clowns. I may do threads for the rest of the tanks eventually but for now I'll just do one for the 90 gallon.
I have had this tank for about a year now. I bought most of the system and inhabitants used in one big getting out of the hobby package. Tank is a 90 Gallon Starfire glass on a custom stand. The brain is an Apex Classic that I have hooked up to the web by way of a Netgear Wifi Extender.
The tank has an AFS that feeds a pinch of pellets daily and a Liter Meter that does continuous water changes and top off. MP40 on the side for flow and a Reefbreeders light.
In the sump I have a skimmer the brand of which I forget, refugium section with SB Reefs Fuge Sprite Light, and some carbon. I also have a small box wires into the Apex with switches. The switches let me turn off pumps for working in the tank, turn on the fuge light during off hours, and do an emergency stop on all tank functions (mainly there for wife and tank sitters).
I just recently added an Ecotech battery backup. I've never had an extended power loss here but the last storm spooked me. I've been looking into generators as well but have not bit that bullet yet.
Ive got a cheap Tenvis IP Cam on the side. Great for peace of mind and checking the tank from work or vacation. Last time we went on vacation I checked it all the time
I just added a QT to the side of the tank. Its partly wired to the Apex as well. Current tank stock includes:
Yellow Tang
2 Lyretail Anthias
Orchid Dottyback
2 Yellow Coria Wrasse
Bicolor Blenny
Black Ocellaris
2 Mollies
Yellow Watchman Goby
Fire Shrimp
Porcelain crabs
Turbo Snails
Fighting Conch
Purple branching hammer
Gold hammer
Green Frogsoawn
Blue Tub Zoas
1 polyp Utter Chaos
Various Ricordea
Various Zoas
Derasa Clam
Duncans
A few Sticks
Acans
Green Tip Torch
Orange Fungia
Most of the corals seem to be doing quite well. I got the fungia attached to a rock and am kinda worries about how it looks some days. The yellow watchman goby was tiny when i added it a few days ago and I have not seem it since. I still think he may be in there.
I got brave today so most of these pictures were taken in the tank with an iPhone 7 in a Lifeproof case.
