Tank Update 1/14/2016
Initial setup was in June 2013
Nov 2013 solenoid failed on my Korallin Calcium Reactor, all fish died due to high pH, a painful setback. Still fairly new to the Neptune Apex at the time, I now have alarm code and text notification to prevent that happening again but I have never used the calcium reactor since. With so little coral I am just using 2 part dosing of Alk/Cal.
Moved Feb 2014, another disturbance in the setup.
I only added 4 fish since the crash; a Purple Stripe Dottyback, Lawnmower Blenny, Blue Tang, Orange Shoulder Tang and a couple of Urchins.
So I am at almost another 2 years running and I want something new. It’s hard seeing all these nice postings of beautifully stocked systems and makes me want to add something. I’d like to take out the two tangs as their getting too big but would like to add some coral. Anyone have any favorites that are photosynthetic and colorful?
