I have a question about the filtration on my new 90 gallon system. I currently have running -an Aqua C remora pro skimmer, a CPR aquafuge 2 Large 5 gallon hob refugium, an aqueon model 3 sump rated for 125 gallon aquariums, 55 pounds of live sand, and about 60 pounds of live rock. I want to know if this is sufficient filtration to accommodate a mixed reef with about 10 fish

Kinda. I'd go with a minimum of 90lbs of Live Rock. The CPR aquafuge 2 is a bit small, and now don' tget me wrong here, it will help to a degree, but its not big enough to really do its job, as far as growing out Macro Algae is concerned. But, yes, what you are going with will suffice.

How much rock do you have in ur tank?
Also how big are the fish.
But from what u said it should be enough filtration

Right now I have about 60 pounds of live rock. I want it very open and I have what I think looks good and I know as I buy coral I will accumulate more rock. Im doing a 2 island/pillar style aquascape. I don't have any fish yet.

I put the aquafuge on there to specifically grow pods. I will have some macro but I wasn't planning on trying to get much out of it. I want to have a mandarin.

Ok, I C where we are going here. Nice sounding set up, but without all the natural filtration what are you going to use?
I'd get as big of a skimmer as I could get, and not an Aqua C for your tank, one rated for at least 180g.

Yea, if you have both, I'd run em both on the set up your thinking about going with. You want as much help as possible out of those skimmers. Sounds like a plan there.

It's hard to tell what is enough rock because all rock is different. You can always add a couple piece of rock to the sump for extra filtration. Both skimmers would be best or one really nice one. Skimmers are not a must have but it will help reduce water changes and help keep unwanted organics lower. Also rubble rock in the fuge will help give Copepods a place to live and add to filtration. A filter sick would also help
