90 gallon fowlr build

So I have been in the hobby for almost a year so I'm still pretty new but for the most part know what's going on. I have a 20 gallon reef

And A 3 gallon reef

I'm wanting to build my pet tank and I'm grabbing my equipment slowly to get it right. This thread is just to show the ongoing process of it and just for people to see what it becomes. Hope you like! Enjoy!



So far this is what I have. The 90 gallon rr tank and stand

30 gallon sump

55 lbs of Tonga Liverock
20 lbs of Fiji Liverock
30 lbs of base Liverock
80 lbs of pink Fiji sand

A hob refugium

3 power heads (using two for Liverock)

And a uv sterilizer

Alls I'm looking for now is some Led lights and a bada** skimmer. I've got a lot of cleaning to do on the equipment I got from a guy on Craigslist but hey it was a deal and nothing a little vinegar won't do. I will be posting more as the build goes on! Thanks for viewing and happy reefing!

I got that Tonga rock and the shapes of it look awesome I can't wait to do some rockscaping with it. So many caves and swim throughs I can make. I'm pretty excited.

Where did you come across all that tonga branch?

A guy that was dismantling his tank from Craigslist. I traded him an iPad I wasn't using and 80 bux for all the rock,sand,power heads, uv sterilizer, and 3 heaters. Pretty good deal bc I wasn't using the iPad lol it was just sitting around the house dead. It's all real gross tho.. I'm soaking it all in water and vinegar right now.
