90 gallon lighting selection

The BRS par ratings are not realistic. Rock and other things create major shadows. With 2 xr30 pro gen 4 at 70% (coral lab program) I get about 200-300 par bottom 1/3 to middle. I think you are going to need T5 to supplement the xr15 pro. The Gen4 lens has a lot more spread and less par.

Just thought I would give you guys an update on which way I was leaning. As this will be a brand new tank and the LFS near me has a sale I am planning on getting 2 echotech radion XR15 G4 Pro's. I think this way as my light need increase I can add more light. Hoping to start saving for an aqua life hybrid fixture.

That will be a good setup, wish I knew about it before I got 2 XR30 G4 Pros, could have used with my 2 A360WE.

Well everyone I have finally decided on lights. I have just purchased 2 radion xr15 pro gen 4 lights. Reasoning has a lot to do with the fact that this will be a new tank. And I plan on using a T5 led combination. The 2 15's will give me a great start and can easily be expanded to 4 with T5's if i need that much light. Coral selection will ultimately decide this. Thanks so much for everyone's input.

Finally got my lights up and hooked up to my phone with the reef link. My dumb move didn’t allow for enough space behind the tank for my rms mounts. Filled the tank and don’t want to drain it to move the tank out 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. So I am thinking of using the rail to go across the tank since one of the arms droops lower than the othe by quite a bit. The people at Echotech say the rail will bring them level they also offered to replace the dropping arm. Great costumer service is always nice. They only suggested the rail would help because I was leaning on ggoing that way.
