Hi all! Some of you know by my puffer thread that my 90 is officially mostly setup (need some overflow covers and maybe an adjustment on the sump). Unfortunately some of my critters didn’t make it (a young sebae anemone and maybe a baby ovellaris clown)

So it’s time to think about stocking! My goal is to have some corals, nothing too crazy because I’m scared of them (more of losing them). Below are my ideas in relative stocking order, any suggestions would be great.

Hawaiian Bluespot puffer
Ocellaris Pair
Mature Engineer Goby
A few flasher wrasses (not sure the species, suggestions please)
Longnose Hawkfish
Falco Hawkfish
Bristletooth Tang/Pyramid Butterfly/Longnose butterfly

Later down the road after my reef matures I want to grab a gigas or maxima clam as well as a spotted mandarin.

Tell me what you think!

Why? I can’t find anything about having issues between two types of hawkfish?
From my understanding the falco hawk is one of the more aggressive hawks while the longnose is one of the least agressive so in my mind they do not mesh well.

If you were deadset on having both it will most likely be fine since they have their own zones in the tank and if you introduce them at the same time.

Alternatively you could do one type of hawk and shoot for a pair. I know divers-den has bonded pairs of hawks fairly often which might make a more interesting dynamic than two different types.

Sounds good! Sorry if my post sounded rude, I was just trying to clarify. I might do a pair of longnose, I am just worried about them getting aggressive when they pair up. Would that be an issue?

I have not read anything to suggest they would be overly aggressive while spawning, just keep an eye on anyone smaller than their mouth which by the looks of your list above shouldn't be an issue except maybe the smaller of the clownfish.

The Blue Spot Puffer will be a bit of a gamble in a reef (can eat shrimp and most inverts and can nip at corals) and be aware that all puffers can fin nip.
