90 gallon tank?

Anyone have suggestions for a 90 gallon display tank? Trying to find some AIO but not having much luck other than a Red Sea but it’s a little short of 90.

I’m trying to get a long tank. I’d like to do a 180-150 but I’m moving houses soon and i plan to again in 5-8 years and I’d hate to set up a good 180 gallon tank and then take it down after a few years and disturb everything.. 90/125 would be a step up from the nano tank i have now which will scratch the itch for a few more years, but financially and the fact I’m moving soon the 90 could be a better fit.. I’m looking into going Fowlr and maybe a couple LPS corals though..

I was looking into the reefer 525xl but realized the display tank size was only 108 gallons but advertised for 140 roughly. So I’m discouraged from getting that just because i might not be able to fit my dream fish of a sailfin tang and niger trigger..

Sorry I am confused still what you are looking for .. you want to put A sailfin in a 90 gallon but not 108 gallon? what dimensions? You looking for a 4 foot tank?

I am just trying to understand what you are looking for there are a lot of AIO tanks out there now adays like RedSea, WaterBox and Innovative Marine. Are you looking for a AIO with a sump or a compartment in the back?

as far as I know there in not any 90 AIO
that said I have the SCA 90 tank. I call it my little big tank. the most volume i could find in a small foot print 36x24x24 if/when moving I thought I could always find a spot for a 3' tank.
the tank is built like a tank.haha but it's heavy to move a 6' 125 or 180 is lighter. that's what you get for having 12mm low iron glass.


what size is your nano?
maybe a 4obr might do the trick ?one of my fav. size tanks to be honest. or a 57 rimless if you want to go fancy.
I know how it is knowing in the future you will be moving but trying to have a big tank. I once have an 8' 240 that was lighter than my current tank. and easier to move.

I would put some real thought in to this. if you are going FOWLR maybe just get what you want now? be pretty easy to catch the fish and keep in bins.ect. while you move the aquarium to the new place. as long as you have overlapping places that is.
also one size/style might be perfect for one house but not the other...

I will look into water box and innovative marine. Hadn’t thought of those brands

I have a Waterbox small aquarium and a Red Sea reefer and both are decent quality.
Innovative Marine had some issues earlier on but I have not heard of any lately.

If you are looking for complete systems Cad lights has some good stuff. I hear people complain about communication with them occasionally but never about one of their systems. I do not own one myself.

well your gonna spend the $$ on coral and lighting or fish...haha dang hobby. but the god new is lighting should be cheaper if you really dont want corals. I would cheap out the local and semi local for sale ad in your area. just might fins a great deal I hear they pop out all the time.

I am trying to get a long tank. Space isnt the issue as opposed to swim room haha

I’ve considered getting a 525xl reefer because I’ve discovered this hobby is like meth and i can’t stop buying.. but I’m trying to fit larger fish in a little bit smaller tank while they are young.. hoping that if i don’t have as much stuff in there they will be happier and healthier longer.

I love this line and agree on a good choice considered. These appear to me rich in looks, easy on maintenance and successful in sustainability. Similar is the waterbox systems and similar in looks.

I’ve been considering going that route for the last two months for an upgrade due to a couple threads i follow for their reefs and such.. girlfriend loves fish and not gonna lie i got into coral because i can’t add many fish [emoji23] but I’m loving it now mostly but that being said i want her to enjoy the hobby with me and she loves a niger trigger and i love a sailfin tang. Gonna look into squeezing a baby one in the tank that i get and hope since it’s fowlr it’ll be healthier. After i move final in a couple years I’d love to get something like a 180-200 gallon and be able to incorporate coral and fish.. but for now i think fowlr is a good choice. Maybe add my torch corals in the tank.

I have the Planet Aquariums 90 gallon and love it. I looked at waternox and Red Sea and I just didn’t love the sump setup in either. Both don’t leave enough room for a nice size refugium.
