I have a 90 gallon tank I’m gonna make a reef tank, I have everything g figured out just trying to get the lights worked out, I’ve been looking at lots of options but I’ve also been wondering since I’m really only concerned about having soft corals would 2 or 3 of these lights work? I’m wondering since I have one already on the nano I’m upgrading from, any thoughts help

Not enough light.....maybe low level softies, but still not much light.

I've been told you can't judge LED's by wattage, but I still do. 30 W fixtures are great for a nano, but not 90 gallons.

I'm assuming a standard four foot 90, I'd be looking at two 165W Black Boxes....Mars Aqua, Viparspectra, SB Reef Lights, etc.

I agree. You can judge LED by wattage, although there is not a good watts per gallon recommendation, but there never was for other type of lights either. If you are looking for economy, then the black boxes suggested above are a good place to start.
