I have the 9012 dc and am having micro bubbles after a lot of tweaking. I want to try raising it a little more but I have a rimmed tank. Is there an easy way to get it raised higher? The trim blocks the magnets

Not sure if you found a way. But I cut pcv of the height I wanted to raise mine and drilled big holes in it and have them in the bottom of my 2nd return compartment. Doesn't restrict the flow or have a dead spot and raised mine above the recommended water line of the skimmer and produced a much drier denser foam. I have a cheap $80 magtool. But with the design of the body and the DC motor w speed dial it's super easy to dial in. Plenty on a 15 that only holds 12g after sand and rock.
