Tank is currently curled up on the couch, waiting for breakfast while dreaming of summer...

I've been eyeing this little polyp that appeared on my rock recently.. Rogue Tubastraea head mayhaps? Some type of hitch hiker I only noticed recently after the tank move? Does not look like aiptasia, hydroids, etc to me. Picture is under white light, it's the same yellowish green to the eye..

I do have a Tubastraea, which is slowly recovering from the move. Similar coloration and tentacles..

Still no idea what is up with the apparent missing rock chunk..

Goni is like, I didn't do it.. ( )

Woke up to a buzzing MP10, will pull and clean today and pray it's gunk and not a bearing..

Well its Wrasse Wednesday, in Tokyo currently.

Mel starting to transition to male mayhaps? She's been in the tank since June, 2022. 18 months now and pretty close to 4" (won't hold very still for measurements however ).

Well its Wrasse Wednesday, in Tokyo currently.

Mel starting to transition to male mayhaps? She's been in the tank since June, 2022. 18 months now and pretty close to 4" (won't hold very still for measurements however ).

Looks like my Mel only yours has green in the face. I would estimate yours is on the male side of transitioning. Mine is the pretty blue but still has straight face stripes and no green so still in the transition phase I assume.

Lots of snow days here this year - Tank is typically seen enjoying his heated blanket in between feedings (3x per day, mostly brine, flakes, little hot water, kibble and ground venison).

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing holiday season! Probably not but you should be!

Not much to report with the tank as of late, however I have been thinking about adding a few fish to the mix. It's been almost 90 days of "faux fallow" (same 2 fish in there, you know, not really a thing.. I clearly just made that up)..

In the interim, pistol schkrimpp and YWG are running the show.

+ Mel from a few weeks back, transitioning! ~19 months here.

Otherwise, winter in Alaska is when all my snow moving equipment breaks, cars break, roofs needs shoveling, storms and power outages occur, etc. Relaxing

Tank's track is getting thiccckk, already..
