907 Tank & Stand Build - 55 Gallon

Not Alveopora. I was thinking Bernardopora possibly. Could a short tent Goni, but Bernard is more likely.

Roger that! Will snap some pics tomorrow. One more for today, while my Clowns host GHA in the background..

How do you like those XR15s? I'm debating picking up 2 from AK Coral for my 75

They've been good, definitely put out some serious light. With diffusers I'm running them at 35%. Only twice (in 1 year) they've disconnected from Mobius, just need a reboot, that's the only issue I've had. So, can't complain!

Nice haul. I would have doubled the snails but i get it... coral is more fun :) I dont have the best luck with Astreas and Trochus snails, although I still buy them (I guess I like to waste money :rolleyes::rolleyes:). I would say about 20% (maybe less) of what I purchase make it past the first few months. Turbos for me, last much longer I like to get them in all sizes if possible. The small ones really get in those crevices nice n deep like.

LOL. Yep got a few of those nice and deep-er Turbos in there :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: . My initial 2 Turbos quit on me in the past year, they were bigger guys to start with though..

Also do you like hermits? I have found that the blue legs just go to town on algae.

I like the ones that aren't walking around in my Astraea shells :thinking-face:

I am a hermit fan, got 3-4 blue leggers in there now/still from just about a year ago, they are always working on my rocks! A few have gone for snails over the past year, but I grow algae pretttyy well for them now, haven't seen many battles and I snag spare shells from the LFS whenever I can and litter them around in the tank. Tis the way of the reef though!

This is my first go with Scarletts, interested to see how they do! Only had blue leggers in the past.
I think Scarlets are pretty to look at but I haven't seen mine do much work other than on the scraps from feeding time.

I inserted them all face first into piles of GHA, we'll see if they take a hint lol..

lol ....I've done this so many times with both snails and hermits. They alway walk or slither away in disgust. You really need to get that electric toothbrush going, and get the algae shorter for them to be excited about eating it.

Oh yeaaa, I'm ready to roll on GHA :smirking-face:

Trying to stay away from any dosing here, I do have Phosphat-E on hand that I may use for lowering PO4 but I have been holding out..
