So this will be my Build Thread, now the tank that im converting to a reef has been set up as a FOWLR tank for 4 years. i Have only 3 frags in as of now. but will be adding more soon. my LFS is not much to brag about they are limited on salt water life But as of coral i have a Bushy Sea Stem, Green Star Pollyp, Elephant ear Leather, and a Zoanthid. The man at the FS was not sure the name but its green with a yellow center.. now i did start going reef about 4 months ago. so yes maybe i should have more in my tank then i do. but where i am located the supply is limited. i have been researching some online stores when i feel i find one i can trust, my first purchace will be something my clowns can play in.. I have abour 75lbs of rock in my tank. alot was live rock that i got when i started my tank but, about a week and a half ago a lady was selling the Bushy Sea Stem on craigs list for 15 dollars and she told me i could have all the rock for free. so im guessing im up to about 75 lbs. now as for my tank stand it is not built to be able to slide a tank underneath for a sump. for my first 6 months of having this tank i checked Craigs list periodically for a different stand. but to no luck. but alot of research show that i don't need a Sump.. so i don't have a sump. 10 fish in the tank. now i will list my Gear

MarineLand Emperor 400 Filter ..................................................................................(i don't use the Cartridges, it is full of sponges)
Coral Life HoB 125 Protein Skimmer ..........................................................................( Not to familer with protein skimmers but it seems to be doing its job)
Finnex External Refugium HoB with a Fuge Ray LED light........................................(Full of Chaeto and ceramic Bio Media)
Viparspectra 300 LED.....................................................................................................(Have no idea what my tanks PAR readings are. if any one have a chart of this light i would love to see it)
Hygger 300w Heater x2..................................................................................................(Looking for a new one with lower watts)
Hydor 2000gph wave maker x2.....................................................................................(Atleast once a week i mess with my wave makers i just cant get them to do what i want)

UPDATE. not sure if this should go on my build thread. But i use a coralife 125 protien skimmer and for years i have had issues with after i feed my fish the skimmer would stop frothing for about 4 hours and sometimes even longer. i had contacted Coralife about the issue and hell that is a thread of its on just how hard it was took me months.. but they told me the issue was the food i was using had alot of oil in it. so i switched foods again and again over and over for like a year. till i just gave up set in on what foods i though was best for my fish stock and stuck with it.. but yesterday i rearranged my hard scape due to i didn't have an area that i feel SPS would thrive. all my high points where to the side as you can see in the photo above. but after moving things and moving one of my wave makers i smiled and it looked good to me.. so about 45 min ago i feed my fish same food i have been for a good while and my skimmer only stopped frothing for i say maybe 20 minutes.. so im not sure what i did that made it work alot better but im on to something.. any ideas i welcome all feed back.. i feel moving my scape and wave. qualify s
