90g Peninsula

thinking back i remember trying to catch one for being naughty like that! Will change that to one for the refugium. Debating the foxface, have never had one and wonder how it would do in a 90.
I really like the fox faces. I have a one spot fox face and it’s one of the most personal fish I’ve ever had. I’ve also noticed they aren’t big swimmers like tangs. Mine will swim around the tank and all but also swims up to the top of the tank a lot more. They us the whole tank a lot more I feel like.
I personally think it would be okay if it were one of a few or only bigger fish in a 90 gallon tank. Try and get a small one so it can grow into the tank.

I have a feeling all of those emerald crabs will end up in the refugium. I just had to get rid of both of mine and I really liked them, but even with all the algae and supplemental pellet feeding, they still ate my coral.
It’s probably the Males that are eating your Corals. Look at their Caprice to tell Males, from Females.

Thanks for the input! Will look for a one spot, since they may stay a bit smaller. It would be the largest fish in the tank for sure and have heard they can be one of the most personable fish. Was going for small, lots of moving fish like 7-9 green chromis. Had anthias for a while in another tank but they are a very needy fish.

This little guy was on the side this morning, 1/4" across, baby snail? Orrrr deadly coral destroying, fish murdering, poisonous, rip entire tank apart hitchhiker? will have to wait and see. That is what makes live rock so much fun, never know what will show up. Hard to get the camera to focus on it, was so small.

It took forever to get mine out. I pulled up a chair in front of the tank and waited for him to leave the rocks lol

Was pondering something this morning....

Started doing full quarantining (copper, prazi, etc) in the past when I transferred from my 155bow which was a couple years old to the 240g and was introducing the sohal, powder brown (i think these guys are just THE carriers of ich), and desjardini sailfin tangs as the 155 was healthy and didnt want to introduce stuff. All of these guys lived many years in the tank before being re-homed to a even bigger tank when we had to move.

Fast forward to now and realized I just started a tank with fish store display rock that was not left fallow and had probably been in place many years seeing a ton of fish pass through it over years.

Thinking that just doing an observation QT to fatten them up and treat if symptoms show is all that I can do at this point before transfering to display. If there is a break out just do a fallow and get everyone into treatment. Somethings feel like russian roulette.

Tang, Blenny and the Bigger Clown are doing great so far. The tang and blenny destroyed a sheet of nori yesterday, so today I tried feeding that sea lettuce from algae barn in the tank. It was in there all day, nothing touched it, not even a crab or snail.... Finally got a pic of Blenny!

I think my fish names, Tang, Blenny, Bigger Clown and Itty Bitty (the little clown) have been vetoed by my other half. Named my shop cats Gray and Fatty for obvious reasons which has annoyed her for the last 6 years. She says I am done naming things.

Since the quarantine 10g tanks were down I went ahead and painted the bottoms, backs, and both sides black today. Turned out great and new arrivals seem more relaxed without the reflections and distractions.

Definitely following this AWESOME build! Oh, and your Australian Shepard is STUNNING.
Don't tell him that! He knows it and plays everyone like a fiddle with his blue eyes and personality! I am sure he will pop in to more pics cause he photo bombs everything.

This was my Aussie, I got him after my transplant. He was my therapy dog and helped get me through chemo therapy. Unfortunately we lost him at an early age due to a catastrophic seizure. RIP Fynn.

He kept me up and moving for sure! As you have experienced, would play fetch until my arm was about to fall off.

I'd love to get an Aussie shep, but I think I will wait until we move to more open area. Such beautiful pups.
Mine loves his open area for sure, has a border of around about 5-6 acres of our 13 acres that he does a patrol a couple times a day then sleeps the rest of the day. Certainly just a watch dog, just watches everything, only ever barks at bear in the yard.
