90g salty journey

Nice light. Is it hung yet?
Thanks but no, just set over the tank temporarily. I decided to eurobrace the tank for higher flow plus the misses doesn’t like the spill over from the light and not having a canopy so I’m in the process of building a canopy to keep her happy so she doesn’t notice the difference in the “tank funds”.... the light is really bright! But am acclimating some newbies and will be really dialing the light in this weekend when I actually get some time!

Next project on the list

NOICE! That pump is on my wish list. Yea I know, even more twinning. Let me know how you like it.
Unit is solid and well made, aluminum housing with small footprint 7x2.5x3 and has mounting holes on back. Calibration was a flick of a flipper and was riding the current in no time! The only downside is that when I connect it to my homes WiFi, the connection doesn’t work but I have had issues with my router in the past and am thinking of switching carriers. Other than that it works fine on its own even if not connected to homes WiFi. Will post pic later.

Heres some readings I took today, light is 9” above the water and settings are
Ch. 1,2,4 @ 20%
Ch. 3,5,6 @ 48%
All measurements are only with @Reef Breeders photon 32 v2 no supplemental lighting.

I'm not exactly following your chart... got a dummies version?

Left measurements are depth, top measurements are left to right. Top chart is front of tank, second chart is 6” from the front, 3rd chart is center of tank front to back. Drawing by dummies!

Ok, you took vertical slices of the tank. That is what was confusing me. I'm used to taking horizontal slices.

So after getting mixed reading of salinity, it’s time to say goodbye to old faithful swingarm, and start raising salinity...

A good refractometer is a must have. How does the tank look? Haven't seen my twin in a little while.

Ya, recently got a Milwaukee digital and wouldn’t calibrate as instructions, but read Rodi as 1.000, tank as 1.024, old UNfaithful read 1.026 but friends newish swing was 1.024 so went to lfs n they read 1.024. Also ordered a regular Refractometer for redundancy! Tank is a little ugly but frags are all taking off but looking a little bland probably due to salinity... will get pics up when it looks better
