Still plugging along! Never saw an ammonia spike whatsoever. Nitrites either. Nitrates are around the 5ppm mark. Guessing I just got some good live rock! Have some brown algae looking stuff growing in the sand and red cyano algae (I think) on more than half the rocks.
I realize I'll get some flack for this, but I put (2) four stripe damsels in there a while back, over a week ago. Fish are doing well and even with that, still haven't seen a trace of ammonia.
Planning on putting a few "starter" corals in there in the next few weeks if everything stays status quo. Didn't take long to abandon the FOWLR plan! HAHA.
Flame scallop
(2) RBT anemones (was a single that split and the bigger one looks to be starting again.)
30 +\- different corals
Sailfin is definitely the boss. The lunar wrasse and coral beauty are model citizens. No nipping at corals, no issues with inverts, etc.
Corals are doing great. Mushrooms, zoas and palys are growing and I having new growth popping up every week or so. The green hairy mushroom has to be close to 6" across.
Clowns have decided the large green finger leather in the back is their home.
SPS look good and getting some growth. Dosing 30ml BRS alk manually (need a doser) every couple days. Trying to keep alk at 7.8-8.0. I know that's still a bit low.
A few terrible pictures...
This rock work needs some attention. That's probably the next project. It's grown in several stages and now just looks like it's been thrown in there to me.
