Last week I picked up a used 90g with stand, canopy, sump, and lights. Cleaned it up, cleaned up the sump. It came with a maxspect razor r420r, I ordered some replacement led’s had 3 pods with the blues out. It’s an older light, but came with it so why not try it. The sump looks to be an icecap 30, nice sump. I also picked up an apexEl and a cor15 so we shall see how those do. It also came with a Red Sea rsk-600 that looked pretty new. It’ll be overkill but that’s alright, the wife keeps talking about all these fish she wants. I already cleaned everything up, plumbed in the sump and leak tested plumbing.

Will you be quarantining your fish / inverts / corals? Because let’s face it, fish-disease can only get into your tank if you introduce it… Best wishes for a successful tank! :)

Yes I will; I actually have a 24g aio that I’ve had up and running for 2 years now, that will be my quarantine tank until I have all the stock I want in the 90, it already has coral and a few fish once the cycle is complete I will start to move over the fish, and coral.

Cycle finished pretty quickly since I used live sand and live rock. I’ve added some coral and a few fish.
5 chromis, 1 lawnmower blenny, 3 cardinals, a canary wrasse, a maroon clown, and a fire fish. Everything is healthy and happy. Lately I’ve been measuring all parameters daily to see what the current uptake is of my tank.
Only thing I’m dosing currently is for alkalinity, everything else isn’t out of range yet. My nitrates have been hovering around 5-10, I’m currently also working on keeping my phosphates down. I’m suspecting aside from waste, and food that my rock is probably leaching some. So I measure daily, installed a smaller Refugium, and have a little gfo/carbon going.
