I am in the beginning stages of setting up a rimless 93 gallon cube. I plan on making it a green Mandarin only tank with live rock, a Zoa garden , hammers, and maybe even a frogspawn or two. (I would like to have one male and two or three female Mandarins.) I am starting with dry live rock, black Hawaiian live sand, and a nitrifying bacteria to kick things off. I have Dr. Tim's ammonia to feed the bacteria. I am building my own stand with all four side panels being attached with magnets for easy removal. I am sure I will have a million more question as the collection of dry goods and build progresses but these are what I have now. Thank you ahead of time for all of your help. 1. What light/lights would you recommend? 2. How much flow is required and would the XF330 Maxspect Gyre pump with controller be a good option? 3. Best option for an acrylic sump that will not break the bank? 4. Best protein skimmer for this set up?

I have the same setup and currently using 6bulb ATI w reefbrite xho blue which is working well in my mostly softies tank but been thinking of changing to 8bulb for more coverage. Switched from multiple powerheads to 2 gyre 150's and never looked back, these are so powerful the max I can run it is at 30% or else water will splash over sides. U'll love gyres in a cube, it provides much better coverage.

For sump, I ended up making my own using a 29 gal glass aquarium that's sitting behind the wall. Since u r building own stand and if u r not averse to different sized stand instead of a cube stand, then I'd recommend building a rectangular shaped stand to provide more sump options while also benefitting from more storage space. U can get some nice deals on "blemished" sumps directly from Trigger Systems from here https://www.triggersys.com/ts/blemished/

As far as skimmer, I've been using undersized which has been working so far but recently upgraded to BM curve 5 that I haven't installed yet.
