93G Cube verses Red Sea Max 400 110G

As some of you know I have received very good advice in what to look for the first time around to avoid regrets. I have my heart set on the parameters of a 90ish Cube single corner drilled Tank. I had once looked at the Red Sea Max 250 but decided NO WAY on the lighting and the rear system seems too proprietory (does that make sense).

The red Sea Max 400 $3,799.00 is a different animal...it is 110 Gallons and has more of a traditional lower sump. Not crazy about the skimmer.

Basic question for feed back. I am pretty sure that the advice I have been given so far leaves me with a cusom set up at a cheaper price. Tank and stand 930.00 octo xp2000sss skimmer 400ish, sump 300ish, light 300ish, misc. pluming pump + acces. 600ish totaling 2530.00 .

I am aware ro/di, rock, sand and so on will ad more to both.

your input please. I know some of you have a RSM and some of you have custom 90G tanks. Thank You

This is just me -- I would stick with the 93 cube -- I like being able to set up/make my sump how I want it, pick the skimmer that I want, etc. I see the point of the "turn-key" tanks, but I tend to prefer the ones that you get to pick and choose, in the end I feel that you end up with a better set up.
