I am looking for help on how to proceed. I have a 20 gallon long QT which has 3 fish: clown, royal gramma, and a blue yellow damsel. All of them have been in QT for 96 days because I occasionally will observe strange behavior such as yawning from the royal gramma and the clown. One time I witnessed the clown swimming stationary on the tank bottom, then he appeared to lay down sideways on the tank bottom for about a second or two motionless("playing dead"), then he gets up and swims away.
The clown, royal gramma, and the damsel also went to the QT tank, because I had a canary yellow wrasse come down with ich and a clown fish developed Brookynella from the 110 gallon display tank.
The medication I have used thus far: Prior to moving these fish from display tank to the QT, I gave them a formalinMS bath 60 drops per gallon for 50 minutes. Second bath tank was a Paragard bath for 45 minutes.
In the QT, they got 3 weeks of Seachem metroplex, 10 days of Furan-2 for visible bacterial infection, 3 weeks of Paragard. After the metroplex, the furan-2, and the paragard dosing, I still would notice occasional yawns/mouth opening from the royal gramma and clown so I proceeded with copper.
I also did a 5 minute fresh water dip on the clownfish to rule out flukes or worms. I looked in the black water container with magnifying glass and couldn't see any flukes or worms.
I have been using Cupramine at 0.35 for the past 5 weeks and I recently observed the royal gramma open up his mouth wide.
What I am considering is to give all 3 fish a fresh water dip, then a formalin bath, then transfer them to a different QT with 2 doses of prazipro and observe them for another 2-3wks.
Any suggestions?
