Slow going but I'm fine with that. Acid washed pukani and Tonga rock in a dilute solution of muriatic acid followed by baking soda, rinsed then a bleach bath. The pukani was very dirty. Made my scaping table to work on rock work, same foot print as tank. Final plumbing draft done and parts ordered, tank won't be here for another 4-6 weeks.

Plumbing, lights and sump inserts are in. Only thing left are the SB actinic Sbars to supplement the 4x 250w reef brite MH pendants.

I love tropic eden sand u can try to mix the tonga pink then u will have a white sand bed with a tint of pink.

I put the pink in a biocube before, I really couldn't see much difference in the white once it was wet.

Well, after all the trouble of acid washing my rock it is still leeching phosphates, guessing I didn't use strong enough solution or didn't leave it long enough. So I'm letting it soak in saltwater in the tank, running Kent phosphate sponge for a couple of days with some carbon and swapping out to HC gfo tomorrow. Hooked up an old skimmer I had packed up. Skimming immediately, the rock is pretty trashy still, bits and pieces floating in the water. With the skimmer I can throw in some lanthanum chloride.
