I've been looking for a midsize frameless nano for my wife to house clams, shrooms, leathers and a few fish. I came upon this 28g tank on the "Incredible Aquarium" website. 18"x18"x18".

I plan on making a stand, more filtration and lighting. It will be next to her by the couch.

Is this a good tank for $99, or should I look elsewhere ?

my only concern would be an overflow. What do you plan on doing? If you are planning on drilling it yourself you will want to be careful as cheep mass produced tanks frequently have tempered glass. Tempered glass can not be drilled, so make sure you know what you are getting and what you are going to do for an overflow. If you do not have it planned out you may regret your purchase later.

Yes on drilling, but like you said, it may be difficult on these lower priced tanks, even being Marineland rather than a fly by the night company.
What manufacture would you recommend ?

Maybe take a look at Deep Blue. I just got one of their 30g rimless frag tanks and like it. Don't expect Reef Savvy Quality, but they are a great value if you have an LFS that can order for you and save the shipping. They have RR and non drilled. I got the non drilled and confirmed that it is not tempered aka drillable.

I assume this company ?

I so,...want to have a nice tank, hopefully a dimmable lighting system that is not,...in the way of your head, so you can see her clams from the top, so a top mounted light won't work as well. The Kessil 150 is nice being a pendant and great spectrum, but has no ramp up & down. The 360w is great and you can manually adjust the white & blue but is more expensive and the new 360wE is awesome, but too expensive. Don't really want to spend $400 +, because our main 75g in wall reef is taking most of our money. This will be just for her and her clams. "Patty's Tank" ! ya know what I mean. lol

Give me all you have about them and the rest of your tank & system.

I tried late afternoon yesterday but they were closed, so I'll try again today.

I personally would go with the Mr. Aqua 25g its 18x18x18 aswell, non tempered and I even believe it comes in a low iron model. Marinedepot has a good price on them. Priced pretty close to your $99 tank u have listed. Good luck and when u pull the trigger put up what u got.

Yes that is the deep blue I was referring to. Nice tanks and good value.
