I have a 125 going to a 180. I bought 50 more pounds of carbisea rock should i cure that rock a while i am using the rock in the 125 witch is 120 pounds and topping off with fresh saltwater. Total water volume in the 125 is 150.

Personally I would cure the dry rock.

If it's dry rock I don't see much need to cycle it ahead of time, unless you will immediately be adding a bunch to the bioload when you upgrade.

Your current rock has enough bacteria to support the life in the tank now, and it will when you transfer everything over.

There will be a pair of blue jaw triggers in there first that is the only ones i am keeping from the old tank
