A 40b upgrade project

Traded in some frags today and left with a pair of acros, most notably this encrusted orange passion. The other one is a dark teal/brownish, going to see if I can tease some color out of it.

Took some pictures last night while just the blues were on. The misc wwc acro has started encrusting, polyps are peaking out, and it’s taking on a really cool teal in the polyps and between corallites. I think it’s going to be amazing grown out.

Pc rainbow is showing its full range of colors, which is cool considering I have it sitting right next to my Walt Disney, which I always hear prefers higher lighting than the pc to color up.

My Acropora sarmentosa(maybe what it is, idk for sure) is taking on some pink on the top of it, looks cool against the dark red polyps and darker green body.

Acropora horrida is cruising. Biggest colony, or only colony depending on your definition in the tank.

Finally, the rock pile from the 14g is doing pretty well. The micro lords on it fluctuate in their apparent happiness. I cut back the magicians and they seem to appreciate that.

I moved a few other frags around, like the red planet nub that wasn’t doing anything, and it’s started encrusting already. Pikachu and pink Cadillac are finally doing something as well. The Cadillac is more or less entirely green with blue polyps, but new branching growth is changing color a bit so here’s hoping! I love how they look when colored correctly.

Took a few pictures with a macro lens of my trachy.

I also relocated a couple acro frags, and broke a large frag off my A. horrida colony. I glued it to a lower part of the tank. I may trade in the larger colony to make room for another “higher end” frag or two up in that prime real estate. I’ve got a local shop keeping an eye out for a cherry bomb for me.
