Thanks, I am currently working on setting up the same Marineland 150 tall and was thinking about doing two MP40s. Now I see I might need atleast one more.

Very Cool, do you have a build thread yet?

I havent started a thread yet. I just picked up the tank last week. I will start one shortly.

Cool, post or PM me the link once you have it... Would love to see it all the way through.

I have a couple more questions for you. Did you use the original overflow kit or did you modify the return side? ( Im Having noise Issues with mine) what return pump are you using?

I too just got my 150 extra tall, waiting for my stand to come in. I have 2 new mp40-queiet drives hoping that's enough. Currently have my brs dry rock curing in trash cans.

Had the same issue, so ended up removing the elbows and added a Maggie muffler... Helped a ton with the noise.

sorry I miss this question... I went with Pan World 200PS... but do yourself a big favor and put some sort of vibrations absorption mat under it if you go that route.

@underwaterdan They get BIG, real big and will outgrow a 150 in a few yrs so you should have an upgrade path for them to move into, if I recall Minimum Tank Size: 360 gallons
