Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Orphek. Thanks Kris, James and Ofir!
I've been running a pair of Compact Atlantik V4s over my 48" x 18" x 18" 65g mixed reef since setting it up a year ago this week.
Love the lights.
And love the simplicity and program-ability of the app. (Some folks feel it's too basic and minimal ... but I'm getting the same level of control and variablity out of it as I did from the Mitras LX7 on my other tank with a FAR easier learning curve. Took me hours to get the hang of the GHL software and settings whereas I was rocking with Orphek's app in under 30 minutes.)
Any how, a couple nights ago one of the lights flickered off then back on a few times before remaining dark.
It was still receiving power, the wifi was communicating fine and the light still functioned using the 'quick' setting mode. Just wasn't working right when running any light schedule programs.
My initial effort to troubleshoot left me a little baffled, so I reached out to Orphek by email late that evening. Woke up to find a response from the US tech rep, which was also soon followed by responses from the US Sales rep and the CEO, Ofir. By remotely accessing the gateway and light, Ofir was able to spot the potential problem and fix it.
Light is work great again.
And he even surprised me with a follow-up email containing some recommendations and explanations regarding some of the settings and channel percentages in the light schedule I was running based on what he saw when he was checking the light.
Thanks you for the help Orphek!
