Those Hydras are no joke holy smokes.+1
I love t5, I think they give great color and par. But that said I run AI hydra 52’s and love em.
No fish in particular but open for suggestions c: I was thinking maybe some dragons tongue / dragons breath macro algae if I were to do an island? Trim it often of course!Do you have any fish stocking plans? Also if you are going with only zoas I think an island aqua scape could look cool with maybe a finger leather or Kenya tree in the center.
I like that! They stay small if my memory serves me correctly. Do you have any pics of your db?Dragons breath is cool but mine constintly breaks little pieces off that float from my fuge into my skimmer compartment so you would need to clean it up often if you are going for a clean look. I think a neon dory back would be cool in a zoa tank as there are few zoas that are purple or yellow so it should stand out and it is a cool unique fish.
Alright I won't! Howcome? Bad experience?I don’t own a dotty back but It’s the next fish on my list for my frag system. I’ve seen them a few times in my LFS and I always find them really cool but they can be a little aggressive so they are one of the last fish I’m putting in.![]()
Here is a picture
Also don’t buy from saltwaterfish.com

Aww man that's scummy if that's true. I certainly don't want to find out if it is or not. Salt Critters seem to have really good corals, specifically Zoas. Thoughts? No, just thought I’d mention it since the image is from them. I have heard lots of bad things about them like selling dead fish or fish that had obvious and sever parasites and or disease.
That's worrisome! Recommended dips? What kind of Parasites :OThey also have some mixed reviews on other corals but zoas is kind of there specialty. The ones I got had a few paresites so dip and inspection is a must and I highly advise QT. They seem to be ok but just sell what they get strait from a wholesaler so be perpared for 1 or 2 to not make it. In my order of 10 zoas only one did not make it. And losing a $10 frag is hardly something I’d lose sleep over.
Just added a coral dip to my amazon cartA few nudibranchs and a flatworm. if you get a new light you can put the old one over your QT to QT your corals. If you do QT your corals you can buy much cheaper knowing that you can eliminate the problems your self instead of paying the retailer to do it.
Yea good point. What's the recommended quarantine period for softies?Cool man thanks! You've been such a great help.Depends on the person and method. Some are super strict others not so much. If just observation 2-3 weeks should be fine. Just look closely daily and at night to try and spot parasites if any are spotted simply pluck them off or medicate. If you are doing medicated QT then do whatever the bottle says.

Wow that's awfully helpful Mr. Crusso! That's definitely an option - thank you so much! There has been a bit of talk about a possible light upgrade. If you're going to do so, I would recommend looking into a Noopsyche K7 Pro. I'll link some informative threads below if you want to start your research on them. Also, they are presently having a give away and that will be the last link.
