A couple of Apex questions

Hi all,

I am looking to set up an automatic water changing system in my garage - about 30 feet from the tank. My tank currently has a newer style Apex system. So my thought was an Apex DOS mounted in the garage (because it is noisy) with a 30 foot usbfirewire cable, and then 30 feet of RODI tubing running to the tank.

Now I am thinking though, why not have the ATO reservoir in the garage as well - and then I wouldn't need a smaller reservoir next to the tank!

So....

1. If I set up another EB8 in the garage I could use that same usbfirewire cable right? And then I have outlets in the garage!
2. Any recommendations on an ATO and pump that would work well with this? I am thinking the apex ATO float switch and a BRS 50ml pump. But open to other options.

...and then I got to think, well why not have the two part dosers in the garage as well!

3. Will BRS 1.1ml dosers work over a 30 feet distance (approx six feet of head)?
4. Any reason to worry about having long lines of cal/alk/mag?

For ATO, with that type of head probably any peristaltic pump will do.

And Yes, you can connect an EB8 in the garage and connect any additional accessories right to it.

I have similar questions. My ATO is part of my reefer 350. I would like to convert the ATO to a fuge at some point. My RODI setup is also in my basement as well as a saltwater mixing station that is in its planning stages. (The aquarium is only six weeks old.). If I use Apex Dos systems can I replenish fresh water from the basement with proper sump monitoring and can I use a second set of DOS pumps to automate my water changes?
