A couple of questions!!

These light are fairly easy to work on. I'm not familiar with this exact light, but I've had evergrows that look very similar inside. Does the light have two channels and just the middle one is not working? You likely either have a bad power supply or a burnt out diode that needs to be replaced. It's either a $1 fix or a $10-$15 fix.

The light does have 2 channels. One for blue lights and one for other lights. The two LEDs in the middle don't work. You can see them in the pictures at the beginning. It isn't bad power supply so I must have a burnt out diode. How would you replace that?

It's not puck type lighting is it? Just circular openings in the case with individual diodes?

If it's individual diodes........You'll need to open it up and get to the diodes and take the optics off. Turn the light on with it opened up. Take a such inch piece of wire with the actual wire exposed on each end. One at a time, touch one end of the wire to the + and - side of each diode. When it lights up, that's the bad diode. You'll need a solder gun to replace it, but it's super easy. You can buy individual diodes from Reefbreeders for $1.50.

I think there are some YouTube videos out there. That's how I learned how to do it.

I think I may have found a problem. There are 4 plugs in the light and there are only 3 wires to fill the plugs. Here is a picture.

Only one of these are filled. I can't find the other wire. Do you know what this could mean?

Well, I worked up the nerve to take the whole thing apart and I found this piece was covered in salt, sand and dust but I got it cleaned!!

Can you take off the plastic circles over the center diodes and get to the actual diodes? If so, do it and hook the wires back up, but leave the fixture open. With the light plugged in, bridge the two solder points of each diode, one at a time. When you bridge the bad one, the light will light up.

Touch a short segment of wire (rubber coated with both ends exposed) to each area I've circled in red at the same time. Do this to each diode until the light lights up. If it never lights up, you may have a bad power supply. You could test that with an inexpensive meter.

I am still confused on what you are saying.
If the light isn't working why would it light up if I touched it with wires? I probably sound really stupid but this is the first time I have done anything like this.

When you have a burnt out diode, the electrical circuit gets broken. By touching a wire to the contact points, you jump the diode and you complete the circuit, allowing the whole channel to light up.

It's like when you have a string of Christmas lights and one bulb goes out and the whole string won't light. I'm trying to tell you how to find which bulb is the culprit.

Oh, I get it now!! Thank you. When you find the one that doesn't work, do you have to replace it? Does the light have to be plug in to do this test?

Yes, the light has to be plugged in an turned on.......or nothing is lighting up. And yes, you need to replace the diode. The cost about $1.50 each and you just need to solder them on at the contact points. It's really easy.
 
Well, all of the diodes work on the first one. I didn't plug in the light but I used a battery pack on my wires. The fact that they all work makes me think that there is a bad power connection somewhere in the light and I have no idea how to fix it.
 
What should I do? Should I sit put it back together and leave it?
 
Well, I'm not sure how you tested it without plugging it in? So you have an electrical tester? Plug it in and test to see if you have power coming out of the power supply. Also, do as i said before and plug it in and bridge each diode.

Thank you for all of your help but I put the light back together. The light covers more then enough tank even with the 2 middle LEDs out so I will be fine. Again, thank you for all of your help
