Sooooo... Being cooped up indoors has taken it's toll, and I bought something I currently have no use for because I have a hard time passing up a good deal... (and the GF didn't instantly say no)
I picked up 2 Maxspect 500 Watt (2KW MH Equivalent) LED 14k commercial light fixtures for $1400 shipped. And now comes the fun part of finding a problem for my solution!
the 2 leading options are
1. light the heck out of my 36" deep display, and maybe go SPS dom... they would spend most of their life at partial power, and I feel would be a waste of potential. although I could sell most of my existing lights and offset the cost.
2. plumb in a decent grow out system, and get into some coral propagation... I have the space, and I built some room for growth into my existing system but it would be a completely new adventure.
what would you do with them?
