A Decent Growth w Kessil A360W

Okay, so I've been running the A360W with the Kessil's controller on my 40g and cannot get growth going. The tank is a mixed one and the inhabitants are looking awesome but no growth. I feed the reef 3 times a week.

If you are experiencing growth with your A360Ws, what kind of settings are you running if you don't mind sharing?

Am I the only one with a Kessil 360W. I'd really appreciate the support.

Well it could be other things, what is your flow and what are your levels?

I have two tunze nano stream 6020 on that 40g plus the return flow.

Here are my parameters:

Ca - 442, ALK - 9.97dkh, NO3 - 5ppm, PO4 - 0, Mg - 1580

Having a hard time getting NO3 lower. I am doing ten gallon water change every week, and dosing 10ml daily with C-Balance from two little fishies. Running a SCA-301 skimmer on the wet side as well as gfo and carbon reactor. Fuge with libe sand, live rock, and macro algae. Fuge light comes on five minutes before the Kessil goes off, and goes off five after the A360W is on.

Any more Kessil users out there? What settings are you running?

I run mine at 50/50 and have grown LPS really well but not had any experience with SPS. I ran two A160s

I run a kessil 350w and I run it at 100% on both channels for 8hrs a day with periods of manual ramping up and down. I have a 20g tall and I am seeing coral growth after only 2 weeks.

I'm running 2 kessil 160we units and 2 165w Chinese units over my 90gal. the kessils are coming in from the sides at 100% power and blue and the 165w units are over top of the tank and running 30% white and 100% blue (Yes i may like my tank a little more blue than most and i see great growth on all my acropora

i have a friend (owner of my lfs) who runs 2 A360w and has had amazing results with his sps

Hmm..... I've got an a160 over a 17g and am not seeing any growth. Guess these a160 aren't any good for sps?

That was my fear when I was looking for a new light. I found the 350w for the same price as the 160we so I thought I would go with that and that way I could use it in a larger tank in the future.

What is the dimensions of your tank? How close to the water is the Kessil and how close to water line are your sps corals? What kind of sps?

I have one A360W on my 40g breeder about 7-11 inches from the surface. Corals are from the sand all the way till about 2-3" from the surface. Thank dimensions L 36 x W 18 x H 17inches
