A "different" type of reef photos

So i wanted to share these photos here, the concept here is basicly patterns...









And although these aren't reef photos, reef keeping is what got me where i am with my photography... Its a "gateway Hobby" lol











Well i dont want to overload this post with photos, so ill just say if you like my photos, please leave comments, share, its the only reason i post really... for feedback...

But yeah its funny how reef keeping can take you to so many different hobbies. reef keeping, carpentry, photography, plumbing, and now i bought a kayak to be able to further my photography... its funny how life happens

All of the photos I posted were taken using a 100mm macro lens on my 60d. Sometime ill combine the lens with a set of extension tubes and or a 2x teleconverter.

For the insect photos the 2x teleconverter on my 100mm macro lens helps alot. Because my camera has a crop sensor on it, it multiplies the focal length by 1.4, so that makes the lens more like a 140mm lens, then with the 2x teleconverter it makes it more like 280mm. So with a 280mm macro lens it makes it a little easier to get close to them. The second part is patience!! And a bit of luck
