I have been playing a bit with some of the functions of my camera (Cannon EoS Rebel T7). Also been working on some post photo editing. I have come up with a few pictures that I am actually pretty happy with. :)

Hope you enjoy!!

Looks great! Does your camera have any special filters on the lens?

No. All filters are added in the post edit process. If I recall correctly, all of these pics were taken using the stock 18-55mm lens with the addition of the Vivitar 0.43x wide angle lens.

All photos also were taken with all flow turned off and utilizing tripod AND remote shutter release to remove all camera shake.

@PandorasChalk , Here is the camera I have..

I am unwilling, at this time, to invest another several hundred dollars in a macro-lens. I have simply been doing my best with what I have and trying to get the pictures to look like they should in the post-edit process.

The Rebels are great cameras, I was just curious since it's great edit work!

What did you use post to edit and what did you mess with? Im working on learning photography as well.

Thank you very much. I am very much humbled as this really is my first attempts at any "real" post editing.

Aside from resizing or cropping of pictures for posting on forums, I have never really attempted any type of editing for color, depth, clarity and so on.

My software is far from specialized, It is whatever comes with my laptop.

As I said, I am trying to make the best of what I have.

Nicely done, Timothy!

What did you use post to edit and what did you mess with? Im working on learning photography as well.

I just checked and it appears I am using Windows photos for my post edit software. Again, I am using what I have. I am also learning as I go, so I figure as I get better with my editing and learn the differences between what I have and what other options are available, I may change what I use. For now, I will continue with what I have.

The biggest points I could advise for you are this. "Turn off all flow" Shimmer is beautiful when you stand in front of the tank, not so great for photos.

Shoot in RAW format. You get the largest and most detailed pictures using this. Also, allows for the most editing options.

Use a tripod! Camera shake is the enemy when attempting details in photography.

Use the remote!! Same as tripod. Even if you have the steadiest hand in the world, the simple action of pressing the shutter release can cause a movement of the camera body.

Now, this part is from my own observation, Dial your white lights up a bit. I find the post edi process to be a bit easier if I have a subject that has a bit more white light in the original, rather than trying to find a good filter and dial everything in to get a good final image.

Good luck with your photos... I will be watching for your work.
