Well I suppose I'm due for another update as I haven't posted one in a while! This one is a little old anyway as I took these pics a week or so ago and I'm currently up in Sunshine Beach for a week on holiday! So it's my way of getting some tank fix without having a tank haha

SPS are all looking really nice at the moment and the tank is loving the new bulb combo too! I'm now running all Giesemann tubes as that's what Dave has and I can't be arsed mucking around and ordering them online! So I've now got two Pure Actinics and two Actinic Plus tubes going! I may go to three Actinic Plus tubes depending on how I continue to enjoy the colours which I'm loving at the moment! Anyway enough talking and on to the pics!

??

She's still my pride and joy and she's still loving life!! My t. maxima :D

Zoa's are looking like the **** at the moment and they're loving the acropower that I'm dosing at the moment too :)

Well as some of you may know I've been on holidays since boxing day and got back on Sunday night. I was a little nervous when I got home about what I was returning too! But luckily all was good in the reef :) A few of the acro's are rather pale and there's some minor bleaching on a couple of pieces but nothing worrying that some love and food can't fix! There was plenty of algae though :( The ******* caulerpa nummularia had gone nuts! I HATE THAT **** SOOO MUCH!!!!!!! lol

Yesterday was a good old water change day and tomorrow is as well, algae removal, parameter balancing (haven't tested yet either lol), nutrient removing everything effort to get the tank pumping again! I'm going to try one of the lagoon blue Giesemann tubes as well instead of two pure actinics and I'm putting the new Radium bulb in too, in the next week or two lol

Either way, here's what I returned too :( Luckily it's only on the zoa rocks, even though it's hurting them it's not all over the tank!

Looking a little better now, hopefully better again after tomorrow and at the end of the week I'm starting the algaefix dosing again! Going to nuke this **** out of oblivion lol

On a more positive note, the zoa's have grown well!

Clamclam looking good too :)

The other frag rack going nicely:

Artistic top downs! Everything looks green though :( need some more blues, reds and those types of colours!

And of course FTS

Well I took some nice up close pictures of some of my favourite and more unusual zoa's yesterday during my water change and I think they've turned out real nice like! Also got a couple of acro pics to go with it as well :)
Firetruck seems to be going real strong again

And the frags look amazing with the swirl of colour too!

Purple tip frag from Rob

Robusta still going well too

I LOVE THIS little pocci and it's finally growing again!

Oh and one of my all time favourites, the sunset/goldrush monti!

And of course now we move onto some real eye-popping candy colours ;)
Diabolique's are probably my new favourites!

These friggin things!

Some nice-uns

Everything looks great! Guess the algae is under control now? What do you keep your parameters at, including nitrates and phos?

Thanks mate and it's not quite under control yet but I'm getting there slowly :) This is the most recent test I did, ater getting back from two weeks holiday:
Nitrate: 7ppm
Phos: 0.05ppm (the test kit did expire in Dec though so it may be a little off)
Mg: 1230ppm
Ca: 400ppm

As for the actual numbers I like to keep:
Nitrate: 0.0ppm
Phos: 0.0ppm (I run zeo so no nutrients)
Mg: 1250-1300ppm
Ca: 420ppm
Alk: 7.5dKH

So nice!!!
Thank you :)

Now on to some of the glorious, amazing frags that I got! I honestly could not be more blown away with these babies!!
Pavona maldivensis, there was an acro glued to the dead spot haha but that was moved elsewhere!

I think this is known as the teal stag? Either way the hairiness and colour on this are pretty cool!

This one is definitely going to be a stunner!

One of the pinkest acro's I've ever seen!

The colours on this are impossible to photograph. It is literally the coolest acro I've ever seen, it is the most vibrant purple and the corallites don't even look real they glow that much! Even if that was the only thing going for it it's a pretty unbeatable piece but the real kicker on this baby is the bright orange polyps! H.O.L.Y ****! Annnnddd here's my ****** photo that does it no justice :p

Not a newbie but I'm FINALLY getting some actual nice blue growth on this tenuis!

Well as you can see the tank is starting to get a little full with all the new frags, even after a bit of work lol but I'm really really happy with how the tank is looking and running after completely halting zeo. It's just skimmer and carbon at the moment and soon to be added will be Seachem Matrix. The unfortunate part about me being happy with the tank now is that I'm moving it soon lol moving and potentially upgrading so it's going to be a whole new fun adventure! For the moment I'm just going to enjoy the tank hopefully everyone else does too :)

Great job and beautiful corals!

Here are a few new shots :)
A couple of across tank shots, scuse the ol' reflections though lol

And how can you do a small update without some top downs! I have to say after stopping zeo and using a bit of Biggle Juice the tank is pumping along and I've never had better acro's, I really happy with how things are going!

And this little bugger is finally going baby blue again!! Taken wayyyy too long but I'm glad to see it coming through for me!

Great colors!

Some new pics, acro's are looking really sharp at the moment!

Two of the nicest acro's I've bought from the most amazing shipment ever!!

And this lovely acro sunrise :D

Chalice are looking happy at the moment too :) And growing again nicely!

A few zoa pics, the frag garden

And of course a new FTS :)

Just a small update for the evening :) Had some time to do a couple of tests this afternoon and grab a quick pic or two. All things are looking pretty good and the tank has bounced back after a little spike in salinity and a few brunt tips :( lol everything not doing too badly though! I have my computer back now just need the tank with me lol
Salinity: 35ppt
Alk: 6dKH
Ca: 390ppm
Mg: 1200ppm

Right hand side of the tank and my favourite inhabitant

Firetruck is still going real strong even if the pic does make it look a little pink lol

This little frag looks great now the rack has been cleaned up and sorted out, colours should get better from here on in :)

I have to say, I love taking photo's of the Sunny D's! They always seem to turn out so well!! Happy frag either way :)

This is a great reef! Kudos!

Boy, oh, boy was today a good reefing day! After many moons of wanting, the gods have smiled upon me with the addition of the smallest and most cute little Copperband Butterflyfish I've ever seen :) Today is a good day lol Big thanks to my lfs for such an amazing little fish! Not even 10minutes in the tank and he's already picking around at the rock :)

I suppose I'll get into trouble first and start of with the zoa's :rolleyes

I do really have a soft spot for them but I mean how can you not :D

Well this piece is finally blue-ing up again, pity about the dull polyps lol

Firetruck still Firetrucking but needs some colour fine tuning

Blues are going strong, I do like this little tenuis :)

Nearly impossible to get the colours on this one right but the white skin gets a purple-blue hue to it and it's awesome, either way it's only these few tips that have coloured back up

This little beauty is going to be an absolute gem! I love it :D
