While all that shows is the display area for the fish, I have a feeling there is more to this story than meets the eye. It would be really nice for someone to try get an inside view of the tank and it's filtration system. By the looks of it, if this is all it is, this is not a good thing for the fish and the owner probably deals with heavy fish loss.

If passers-by couldn't tell by the massive house, this 164-foot-long aquarium that doubles as a property fence is a clear sign that the owner has money to drown. The house, in Cesme, Turkey, was originally owned by an engineer/businessman, though it has since been sold. There are reportedly about 1,000 examples of marine life in the tanks, including a few very bored-looking octopi. The seawater in the tanks is continuously cycled, though some commenters worry that the direct sunlight and overcrowding in the tanks is detrimental to the fish. The five-bedroom villa was listed at almost $2 million when it was on the market in 2009.

At a lose for words......That guy could have made that into something soooo beautiful!!!! Its very sad and extremely over crowded not to mention all the poor octopus!! Octopus are VERY intelligent creatures that constantly need their minds stimulated----I would hate to be any living creature in that tank.

That was on the news few years ago in Turkey here. There are few "show off" displays in the west coast of Turkey like that, they collect the animals from the sea and force them to live wihout any special care. Water was also directly drained from the sea but without extra cooling and air systems, as you see here the overcrowded fish and other livestock were not safe at all under the summer sun.

In the end they release the fish back to sea or grill the fish before they die.
