This is great! One of our members @reefer505 sent me this awesome video of his clown trying to kill him! LOL! Thought you would enjoy!

That's awesome! My black and white clowns were much more sneaky. They would wait till I was doing something and had forgotten about them and then hit me in tandem! I would always be surprised (dumb, I know) and jerk my hand back. I have made lots of frags that way!

My clown attacks me the same way...I hated them so much I caught them to flush them, then I calmed down and was gonna donate them, couldn't get my self to do it. They were in my fuge for a while and now in they're own 10g I hate them but can't let them go.

My mated pair of ocellaris clowns are comical. The little male will defend the larger female. If I go near that part of the tank (which I hardly ever put my hands in the tank) where they live, the male will get in front of her and attack me. She just stays behind him. He thinks he's so tough! Lol kinda cute.

My clown used to be nasty buggers when they were in my 28g tank. They'd jump out of the water to protect their homes too. But once they moved into the 75g, they've been less territorial about my hand being in the tank

Does it matter if osc or perc, or are all clowns a potential face biter? lol. I've got a nice pair of osc that allow me to hand feed and rub against me when I put my hand in the tank. I'm sure they'll bite me now that they have tricked me into false love. Haha

i'm sure i'll be roasted for saying this...
but I would grab that clown and laser that spitball into the wall like randy johnson, no lie.
clowns are garbage fish, unless you're into nems, which i'm not.

Wow! I've never seen one jump out of the water before. My clowns would nip at the surface of the water but have never jumped.

They can't really hurt you, unless they were tomatoes or maroons possibly. Even still, it would be a small mark on you.

Even over the years, mine have never left a mark. Just territorial and defending their turf. Harmless.

My black and white used to draw blood on a regular basis. The anticipation of the bite, that always come was the worst. She jumped out of the water to bite me as well. ;Shifty

My clowns are the main reason I hate putting my hands in the tank.

Geez, I feel some love/hate for clowns in this thread. Give them some food from your hand and they will be loyal pups for life. It worked for me!

I've got a 5" GSM clown that has drawn blood before.
I've had to move her a couple times over the 18 years or so I've had it.
She has a mean streak and a long memory.

Hahaha that's awesome she usually just splashes me if in not in her tank but this time she jumped at me! My wife caught it on film that's why I sound so surprise. I was! Lol

I got them their own tank lol it's always dirty because I can't put my hands in to clean it
