So I've had this frogspawn since mid February in my tank , and well a rock slide in the beginning made it for a rocky start but one head still looking good. Anyways towards the base of the corals trunk it seems to be forming another head? Do they grow like this?

it's a crappy pic but it's hard to get a good one with the top shading it

Awesome!! Thank y'all I was a little bummed out when the rock shattered the 2nd head it had. I asked a lfs about it and they said it would probly only have one head and never get bigger

Frogspawn are pretty resilient. Remember, crashing waves and breaking apart are mainly how these guys propagate.

They can pinch in the middle and split heads over time, grow new heads like yours, and create a small pice of loose bone which will fall off witg a little flesh and grow new. I've heard heads can even regrow when they let go of the bone. But never seen that.

Eh these were little well some were maybe pencil width frags but others were like fiberglass shards. I was afraid if they died off it would cause a chain reaction so I just chunked them.. I still kind of wish I would of tried tho

As long as there Is any flesh there is a chance. Maybe even shortly after. I've seen corals come back from what appeared to be bone.

I've been surprised myself what corals can come back from, I had a Frogspawn coral in a tank that was neglected for over a year and had hair algae take over the entire tank and killed 90% of my corals. My Frogspawn was one that made it but was in really rough shape, this is what it looked like when I was trying to rescue it:

This was the only way I could tell it might be alive and possibly could save it, I really didn't think it would but it was my favorite coral and was gonna try everything to save it:

It slowly started to come back again:

This was the coral a couple days ago, slow going but I'm glad it's coming back:

I will testify for the head to come off and grow new skeleton which is what i think your getting at. I had a big tank crash back last october and one of my purple neon tip frogspawn heads came off from the skeleton amd gave it to a friend in hopes he would revive it. Well he rose to the occasion and now has like 4 heads and new skeleton.

Do you have a picture? Id leave it in if just bleached, it might take a while but should pull through with good care and stable water parameters.
