I'm currently going through the motions of planning out my next tank build and am looking for more information on A.G.E. tanks. I am finding it very difficult to find any information on them and the search feature doesn't work well looking for "A.G.E.". So if you have an A.G.E. tank, can you please post pictures, experiences, and observations. Thanks

Yeah, when I was searching for them, I came across that one. Its really nice and almost exactly what I want. I'm looking to go with a 24x24x20 with the external overflow and all. I'm hoping that a few more people will chirp on. These are not cheap and I have no problem paying for premium if people agree that they are.

They are expensive that is for sure. And the time to make them is about 2-3 months from what I hear.

That's interesting and good to know. I won't be getting a new tank until at least summer so that helps with the planning process.

Mallard, go to Fish Gallery and have a talk with them. They're part of the same company, if I recall correctly.

pretty much, and ive heard there store display is all AGE tank?

i think i remember Edward (invincible569) posted some pictures of their store on his blog, unfortunately its gone now

Thanks everyone, I'm currently at work  but I'll be sending stunreefer a few questions later tonight. I have been at Fish Gallery and have looked at the smaller tanks that they have and they look great. I just know the quote that I recieved was higher than I expected and was trying to understand if the price is warrented. Since it seems like it is, I'll just be saving my money and getting this. Just wish I made more money so I could get this build going faster... patience however is key. If anyone else has any build threads I'd be very interested in seeing them!

there are lots of AGE builds in the large tank forum on RC, but I hope there are a few R2R people with AGE tanks we haven't seen yet

does anyone know a rough estimate on costs?
im also in the planning process and was thinking about a 2' cube myself
gunna build this tank around the livestock ive been wanting for ages

Sounds like it would make more sence to add a foot each way. lol :) Thats a really high price for a 24x24. I could be wrong but wow. lol

Different places will quote different prices... I had my tank quoted from three distributors, and the highest quote was ~$400 more than I paid. It's in your best interest to have it quoted through a couple places ;)

FWIW, I also had my dimensions quoted through two other manufacturers... Miracles and Aquarium Obsessed. Miracles was ~$150 less, and A.O. was ~$200 more (I recommend not going near A.O., after they changed owners thier quality has gone down-hill fast).

Yeah, I actually contacted the LFS that I got my original quote through and the president asked me to call him when I get a chance. So I'll do that later today and see what he has to say. But I do plan on talking to other LFS's to try and get the best deal. The best part is that I don't have to have it shipped, just a few hour trip to Dallas and back again :)
