Hi there,

So I am looking ahead in the future and was just wondering about my options..

I have a fluval evo just to dip my toes into the hobby, but I am becoming increasingly more confident that I want to upgrade this in a years time.

I surfed in the forums but I couldn’t find a tank buying guide from where would I find out which brands to stay away or go for, etc. I have a general idea, but I’d like to hear your opinion.

I am looking for something that is about 100-120cm long and approx 50-75g 250-500l and has as much built in featurea as possible or if it’s an addon, it has a designated place to put in the stand somewhere, etc.

The innovative marine tanks look very good but living in the UK means that it’s very hard to get my hands on it especially for parts in case.

Of course there is the red sea (looked at the reefer and the peninsula as well) now that is probably the closes to what I want.

Any alternatives that would be better than red sea? should come with a stand, and all the bells and wistles or at least the space for them (being modular).

Also what is the absolute best quality brand in tank manufacturing iyo?

Thank you! :)

Try and do a cost comparison between getting your own stuff and getting something like a red sea. Red sea tanks are good, but sometimes you might be able to find deals and save money.

I have a Red sea I like it but I have already changed out the sump. If you can wait I would echo what @Spare time said although I looked in to it and at the time it would have cost more but after the sump change I would have saved money. If you just want a set up and fill you be happy with the Red Sea.
