Sorry for the bad pun. I have a 180 gallon reef tank and I was wondering if it was possible to mix a Tomini and a Kole tang with success? The Kole tang has been the resident in the 180g for about 8 months and I was thinking of a Tomini tang. I believe they are both bristletooths so it may have some problems.
But any advice or success stories help! Thanks!

I've had the two together before in comparably sized tanks. Sometimes it goes more smoothly than other times. Using a social acclimation box for introduction can help.

Neither species is particularly aggressive or has a tendency to hold long term grudges. That said, they are both bristletooth tangs and it could work great or they could very much dislike each other.

My guess is that they would quickly get over their differences in most situations and I agree that a social acclimation box is a good move and definitely a good investment anyway
