A little about myself......

I live in NC and have had SW tanks on and off for over 30 years. I am back in the game again but this time I started up a Biocube 14g. My wife said I would have to find somewhere else to live if I set up a 55 or larger tank again. Anyway, I am an Executive Chef and have a catering business that is my real job! I also teach Scuba as my fun job. I enjoy Cave diving and Wreck diving. I also do extreme dives using Trimix which means long deco stops lasting as long as 2 hours. This is where I feel like I am the one in the fish bowl. I think of myself as experienced in SW reef tanks, but I am amazed at all the advances that have taken place in the last 4 to 5 years.

Very cool! Welcome to Reef2Reef! I hope to see pictures of your scuba diving on reefs. Also, small tanks are awesome please share more about yours. Your gonna enjoy this place and its people

Diving's awesome... you have to remember that the big animals are for the most part scared of you. I have swam with sharks off the coast.. Mostly docile Sand Tigers and they make your heart rate go up, and I have never been bit! But I have been bit... more times than I can count, by DAMSELS! Ha HA! As for being able to help with info, I have old knowledge which for the most part the information hasn't changed but the equipment has gotten way better and more efficient. Plus there are more people out trying to push the edge with all of the mods and DIY. I think it is great that there are forums like this where you can get so much information!
