so I went to do what was suppose to be my last water change since I switched over to triton and decided to test my new batch of RO saltwater for phosphate and it tested at .04.
Now I have been having some algae issues lately and my filters were changed out back in May so I decided to dump both my 25g containers of RO and salt and start over. I purchased a used dual DI chamber about a month ago and got a 6 stage filter pack from BRS during the Black Friday sale.
Totally dumped everything, wiped and rinsed out the containers, dried them and rinsed again. Added the dual DI chambers and have new water pumping thru the new 6 stage system.

My TDS was always reading 000 out but end of the year is a good time to replace. Heck my water in from the city only reads 003
Need to get some new readings tomorrow after I mix some salt. Sometime between trips to relatives and opening presents I'll need to dump my ATO container and fill with new RO.

4 salt mix i tested all read phosphates. IO regular .03 IO reef crystalz.05 redseacoral pro is .03 and esv is .03 so maybe regardless what salt you using there is going to be phosphate

Could be and thanks for the info. I'm going to make some fresh salt tomorrow and test again.

Testing phosphates or really anything other than TDS or conductivity/resistivity in RO/DI or ultrapure water is about impossible without lab grade testing equipment.

I was just going to test the KH, Ca and Mg along with PO4 and when I saw the .04 I figured what the heck I'll change everything out.

Just add a media reactor with GFO into the container. You won't have to toss out the saltwater.

Why, I'm out in a county, small unincorporated township with its own water treatment about 3 blocks away.

They give us water readings yearly and I think it's a good reading
