I’m using 1 hydra 52
All 3 main parameters are in check
Kh-Ca-Mag
My phos is 0.01-0.02
My nitrate is 0.5ish
I dose everything manually
But my question is I can’t seem to keep anything but dark colour corals.
I have a monti digi red - dark red
Purple monti
Green monti
Forest fire digi a little green growth tips.
Purple stilo
Pink eye chalice
Gold flake chalice
Green slimer
All are alive but not thriving?
Iv tried rainbow monti 2-3 times pink birds nest blue acapora jingle bells syphastrya all seem to Brown our or die ?
Any advice guys would be appreciated I just want to add some nice coloured corals and have all my corals thrive not just survive?
Thanks

When you say in check, what are your actual parameters? Your nitrate and phosphate are pretty low as well.
What are your settings on the 52?

My paras are
Ca-400
Mag -1400
Kh-8.5

Sounds like you have pretty low nutrients and high lighting....looking at your white channel, personally i would turn it down a bit and see how that works for a while. I dont run my whites any higher than 20% and i blast my blues at 100%. Just make sure that any changes you make, do it slowly and try not to change too many things at once. I hope you get it figured out!

Do you think that would help with colour in corals ?

Im no expert, but yes I think it would help. For example: if i turn my whites up too much, my corals fade and if it gets bad enough they bleach. Those hydra 52's pack a punch. I think turning down the white channel on your light fixture would be a good starting place, and a heck of a lot easier than trying to increase your nutrients. Are you able to post a pic? Pics can tell you a lot, and might attract some other seasoned reefers to help you

Honestly your corals are looking pretty good. Color is good and polyp extension is as well. Dont discount the corals needs for the white channel in led fixtures, the are very strong and can have hot spots that will damage corals if intensity is too high too fast.
