I am looking at 3 skimmers for a 90 reef. I am using a sock on the overflow and the skimmer for in sump filtering. I am looking at Motipora and some LPS in the system. The 3 skimmers I am looking at are....
Bubble Magus BM-NAC7

Octopus Diablo 160 XS

Octopus OCT-NWB-200

Thank you in advance for any help. I have been carbon dosing with my present skimmer and do plan on continuing this with the new skimmer.

Thanks
Mark

I just went through this major decision and bought the xp2000 SSS and have been very happy with performance. Can't say I've used the ones u listed but wanted to share my experience with the decision and purchase I made!

I have a nac7 and it skims like a monster.

Checkout seaside aquatics skimmers. They are bubble magus copies with better pumps.

I love my octopus skimmers. I run a dnwb-110 on my display and a nwb-110 on my frag system. Great skimmer and a reasonable price

Nac7 is great skimmer. I have in my 70 gallon LPS tank (euphyllias, acan, and some goniopora). Skim the dark nasty stuff from my tank.

Thanks for the reply!! I will check out the RLSS. The R8 is a little out of my budget but I will research the R6. I can buy the Nac 7 used from a friend. But I have always wanted to buy a good skimmer. And now is the time.... Thanks again

As far as spec go the 6 appears to fit the bill but we know how specs go . It might be on the money or not . Still worth a look see.I emailed RLSS and AS answered the release date on the 6 model. U can pre-order a 6 now . RLSS stated release after MACNA and the retailer said first to mid month release date .

HTH GL and if u get one start a thread on it please . I am tempted to get one but am a lil busy with chasing new additions . LOL

I looked at the rls for my 180 and ended up going with the proven SRO3000. They are a proven company with good customer support. Not to mention great skimmers.

I would go against the, list too. I would take a look at the rlss r6 i ? dc powered controllable pump with a jns body .
Should be released soon since macna is over.Or the r8 i if the budget can stand it .

Aquarium Speciality is a sponsor and is a retailer of the RlSS line.

Reef Life Support Systems R6-i Protein Skimmer - RLSS - Internal Skimmers - Protein Skimmers

I was just going to mention that same brand of skimmers, They are SERIOUSLY sweet, I just put one in a customers tank and the controllable DC pump W/ feed mode is a sweet little feature, I was thinking of getting the Avast Marine CS1 skimmer but may just spend a little more coin and get the RLSS R6I for my tank instead

I've seen several of the RSLL 8i's in action and they are awesome. They produce good foam, are quiet, and the remote adjustment is sweet!

Lil Buddha are you going to order r6?

No trying to jack the thread .
Ya know .. I was going to pull the trigger but I got new bulbs , salt , additives ; a few fish , plane ticket ..
Get the turkey fryer ready .
Besides this Skimz is still rocking my tank just fine . BTW ... I clean n empty the cup every week
